If Tour numbers are small (1 – 4 people) we will transport you from our home to the Waikanae Scientific Reserve and Estuary Lagoons in our Vintage Citroen Light 15.
There are approx 63 species of wild birds visit at times, with around 20 on show most tours. (See Mik’s Newsletters). Once at the Estuary enjoy a stroll around the lagoons, sandspit and river reserve while enjoying the magnificent scenery and the many wild birds which inhabit this wonderful area. 
Mik’s knowledge of the bird-life resident at the Estuary is extensive and he will show you where to find roosting shags, the oyster-catches, scaup, dabchicks, herons, banded dotterels, terns and many other species that may be on display.

The tour is a 2 – 2 ½ hour experience.
Larger parties are catered for.
